According to a police report, officers were called late Sunday by employees of a Burger King at 2953 Lafayette Road, who said a girl had been kicked out of a car by her mother. The child was found at 11:46 p.m. Sunday.
The woman told police she was trying to show her daughter how "to be brave" by dropping her off on a street corner, leaving and not saying when she would return.
The daughter was placed with the Department of Child Services.
